The marvelous richness of human experience would lose something of rewarding joy if there were no limitations to overcome. The hilltop hour would not be half so wonderful if there were no dark valleys to traverse. ~ Helen Keller

Say Hello to Daisy
Our newest family member is Daisy, a cattle dog/corgi mix. We adopted her from the Longmont Humane Society.
She's about 4 years old, a sweet little girl but scared of her own shadow!
She loves Tonka a whole bunch and, well, Tonka is still trying to decide if he loves her (not when she steals his favorite toys, that's for sure!).
They are getting along really well so far.
Stay tuned...

this is such good news! congratulations! tonka will welcome her. she reminds me of riley, who was also terrified of everything when we got him. he bonded with boscoe immediately, but it took much longer for him to bond with us. he was a frightened dog.
ReplyDeleteshe is so very lucky to land with you.
Welcome to Daisy - my goodness, what a beeeeautiful dog!! That frightened look and body language is so familiar (reminds me of Lucky when he first came) and it just tugs at my heartstrings. I am thankful she has Tonka to help reassure her and build her confidence. I look forward to watching Miss Daisy "come out of her shell!"
ReplyDeleteOh, Daisy is BEE-you-tee-full! I can understand where she's coming from cuz I was skeered of lots of stuff, too, but I suuuure did luvs my Brudder Ranger right away. On the other paw, it took him a little bit to get used to me. But now we're real good pals. I bet Daisy and Tonka are the best of buds before you know it!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new family, Daisy. You sure did pick a good one!
Wiggles & Wags,
