The marvelous richness of human experience would lose something of rewarding joy if there were no limitations to overcome. The hilltop hour would not be half so wonderful if there were no dark valleys to traverse. ~ Helen Keller

In Search of Snow

We went looking for snow yesterday and found plenty in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was a free day too, with all kinds of visitors on a warm sunny Christmas Day. Snowshoers, cross country skiers, and other parched Front Range folks like us out hoping to catch a glimpse of that beautiful Colorado snow.

Thanks for sharing your CHRISTmas, Deb!

  3. Laurie, all these pictures were taken not far from the roads. I did hike out a bit at one trailhead to get better views but other visitors had already left trails we could follow. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on trails in the national park and we didn't want to leave Tonka for long, stuck in the car. Next year: snowshoes of our own!
